Mr. Leonard (Lenny) Gingello, MBA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of COMET

New CEO Leonard Gingello and Continuing Roles for Co-Founders A. Dirk Hightower and Serge Lossa

COMET Informatics LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Leonard (Lenny) Gingello, MBA as our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective Monday, May 1, 2017 in accordance with a planned CEO succession plan and unanimous approval from the board.  Lenny has served on the COMET Board for six years and is the current Board Chairman and for the past six months has served as COMET Vice President Finance and Business Operations.  He knows the company well and is passionate for the COMET mission.

Lenny comes to COMET with twenty four years of successful senior leadership experience including software product company Scientific Calculations, Mobil Chemical and IBM Corporation.  He has had extensive involvement in all areas of business, and a proven ability to manage multiple departments and teams, along with a strong commitment to results. As a Global Project Executive he supported critical initiatives for a variety of clients through the efficient management of global account teams and was responsible for the delivery of a client portfolio of services valued at $850M.  Lenny’s education includes a Master’s Degree in Management, a B.S. in Business Administration, and an Associate’s Degree in Data Processing.  He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and an IBM Confirmed Project Executive, Certified Executive Project Manager and Business Technology Leader.

COMET current Co-CEOs and Co-founders A. Dirk Hightower, PhD and Serge Lossa, PhD will now be able to expand their contributions to the organization with a focus on their strong subject matter expertise.  Dirk’s first-hand knowledge of the challenges child-focused organizations face, and what’s required to enable more successful outcomes, has been a key driver and differentiator in the development of COMET. And as Executive Director of Children’s Institute, COMET's not-for-profit partner, Dirk will continue to contribute to community efforts to help children and youth, leveraging the COMET team where appropriate. Serge's data architecture and technical team leadership will continue to drive product feature, function and excellence to support the specialized needs of school-based, out-of-school-time (OST) and community-based organizations.   We look forward to their continued strategic contributions to drive future success for COMET’s customers.
